I am of portugese decent ny mother was azorian my father brasilian ! she was born in the village called maia..I am 70 years old and as age takes us we have a yurning to see the pictures or actually visit her homeland.. I never saw my grandparent my mothers , ermilinda soares da silva & my granddad joa soares da silva I've seen in pictures my dads in small passport photos I sort of missed the opportunity to say to my friends I'm going to visit my grandparents like them....but I do thank my mom and dad for leaveing me with a heritage and language of great people and good food.. love malasadas & massa dolce and fava beans stewed
