I have always flown from Toronto (Pearson Airport) and can report that there are 2-3 flights weekly from Pearson. European to Azores FlightsMost European flights have a stop or connection in Lisbon. But it is possible to find direct flights - especially in the "high season" of the summer. I have primarily noticed direct flights from Italy, the UK, Germany, and France. I recall flights from Spain, Switzerland and Finland but can't find any recently listed. The following airports are likely places where flights to the Azores would originate (this varies)
My Advice to youTake your time searching for flights. Look for hubs like Toronto or Boston (from North America), as well as London, Paris and Lisbon (from Europe). The major Azores airport is on the island of San Miguel in the city of Ponta Delgada (Joao Paulo II Airport - PDL). Depending on where you are it may take a bit of effort to find a convenient flight ... trust me, it is well worth the effort!
