Conves, Portas do Mar, Sao Miguel

I went to Conves restaurant twice on my last vacation to Sao Miguel Azores. The location on Portas do Mar (at the avenue in Ponta Delgada) is fantastic. There are several restaurants to choose from here.

The first night we went to Conves, it was at capacity and they were understaffed. The food was delicious when we finally got it. Maybe because we waited so long!

The second time we went there were far less patrons and far more employees. Somehow, service was still a bit slow. And the food was just okay and a bit on the expensive side.

Here's my bottom line, the location and atmosphere are great, the food quality & selection are okay, and the service is okay.
