This Sao Jorge Island Map shows just how long and narrow the island really is. What it doesn't show is how tall the island is. The tall plateaus make for some great hiking.

If you use the minus sign in the top left of the map, you'll also see that San Jorge is very close to Pico (only 15km), Faial, Graciosa and Terceira. These five islands form the Central Group of the 9 Azores Islands
