Family Roots on San Miguel

My husband has wanted to experience the home of his grandparents since his youth. While seeing some of the other islands would be grand, I wonder if we would be wise to invest in a full week on San Miguel? We would want to stay in a bed and breakfast or small motel and rent a car. Would this be feasible in late May or early June, or should we split time between islands? We want to to experience and enjoy.

Hi Jeanne, my recommendation would be to stay on one island only for your first trip (especially since it will be one week). Sao Miguel has lots to see and do. The week will fly by and it's best to savour one island. In my personal opinion of course.

By the way, late May or early June should be a great time to go. I'd recommend starting to make arrangements now.
