Easter in the Azores

Rob just back from an incredible week exploring Sao Miguel. Expectations were exceeded ! Stayed at Quinta das Acacia which was great. This is a special place, photos do not capture the magic of the Azores. If any one is heading to these wonderful islands, take your own picnic kit because it is a place to enjoy feasting on simple but great food , terrific wines and you always, always can find a table with a view that is outstanding from one of the "Miradours" or overlooks.

Have lots of pictures will send you some, BTW your site was helpful in getting orientated and also to find the accommodation which worked very well. The restaurant that was apparently run out of a house by a couple of Belgian guys was closed down, something about regulations ? but Lots of other options.

Hi Rick
Thanks for your note. It's always great to hear from someone before and after their trip. It would be great to see some of your pictures.

With that in mind, I'd love it if you uploaded some pictures here:

Your Azores Photos

or here:

Your Azores Islands Magic

In either spot the site is set up to take 1-4 pictures at a time (its up to you).

Thanks again for letting me know you enjoyed the trip and for letting me know that the site was helpful.

Sincerely,
Rob Belchior

We too will be traveling to the islands during our Easter holiday and would like to know how it's celebrated there. Will restaurants be open?

Hi! I am about to book a family vacation arriving the day before Easter. Did you find that things were closed beyond Easter Sunday?
